Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay with butterfly! Our room was incredible, we certainly made good use of the beautiful garden area and balcony. The free shuttle bus was very handy and a quick service. The breakfast provided was great.
We came across Butterfly hostel while looking for accommodation in Pai. We were offered a couple of different cabins and prices. We were shown the rooms before we decided to book. Butterfly hostel was amazing and made our whole experience in Pai wonderful.
Easily the best hostel I've stayed at in Pai. The staff are absolutely brilliant – funny, friendly, and very helpful. They even helped me practice my Thai and were incredibly patient with my terrible accent lol. The beds are some of the most comfortable I've slept in.
Possibly the best hostel I've stayed in throughout Southeast Asia!!! To have a private bungalow double room was about the same price if not cheaper than most of the popular hostel dorm rooms, it was so spacious with a really nice clean bathroom.
We originally booked 4 nights at Butterfly Hostel but ended up extending for another 4 because it was just that good! 🌿 The free breakfast was a great way to meet other travelers, and the free shuttle was so convenient.
All round great experience. My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it. The beds are super comfy and the shower room in our cabin was very spacious. The grounds are full of nature which was great with loads of birds.
Pai has a ton of great places to stay, but I've always stayed at this one. It's absolutely stunning, super quiet, and the staff is amazing. The bungalows are also really cozy and comfortable. Plus, it's close to town, but not in the crazy center where it's always buzzing. You won't regret it!
I highly recommend it! We rented a perfectly renovated bungalow for 3 nights; it was spotless! The garden is the real highlight of this place, with its many hammocks, sun loungers, and views of the mountains and rice paddies. We'll be back!
Great location, nice and quiet just outside the city. The staff is very welcoming and helpful with everything. They also offer a free taxi service that can pick you up and drop you off.
This was the best place to stay in Pai! It is far enough out to escape the noise and chaos of the town but still close to everything.

Chilled vibe, good to relax in the big open garden. Our bungalow was super comfy and they cleaned it from top to bottom every 3 days. The included breakfast buffet is pretty diverse and it's just so nice to have it on site.
Such a lovely hostel, the staff were so friendly and helpful. There was a delicious free included buffet breakfast which had a lot of different options. The rooms were so clean and beds really comfy. There was even a free shuttle to take you into town.

Butterfly is my favorite hostel I've ever stayed with. Started with 3 nights, but ended up staying 10+ over the course of a few weeks. The breakfast is amazingly convenient, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Best hostel we stayed in so far. The people here are super nice, there is a very good breakfast included and when there was Loy Krathong the staff crafted little flower boats with us. We would love to come back here again!!
Absolutely one of the best hostels we stayed at during the Thailand leg of our trip! We are still comparing the free breakfast we had here to every other hostel we stay at and it always wins! Lovely comfortable room, really kind and welcoming staff.

This is such a wonderful hostel! Clean rooms, a beautiful outdoor area that looks over fields and the hills, with wonderful kind staff. It is just outside of the main town and offers a shuttle service all day. They also do free breakfast every day and free dinners a few times a week. I highly recommend staying here!
Out of dozens of hostels all around Asia this one is my absolute favorite, the breakfast buffet alone is worth the price of the room every day, and that’s not mentioning the lovely staff, incredible (free!) Thai food on Wednesdays, and the beautiful green area with hammocks. Stayed a month and it didn’t feel like enough.
Such a wonderful hostel. The staff were always friendly and the manager was very kind and helpful. With a moped you can get into town in under 3 minutes (or a 15 min walk) and you're still close to lots of great brunch places.
Had a super lovely time here! You might be a bit further out of town but they have an in-house tuk tuk service which makes getting around a breeze.

I liked the location on the edge of town and the shuttle service was so convenient! Staff here are delightful and getting the room cleaned once during my 5 nights here was a pleasant surprise. The bed here was by far the most comfortable I’ve slept in on my travels.
One of my favourite hostels from 5 months of travelling. Chilled vibe but also as social as you want it to be. All the guests were very friendly, and the staff were amazing and like friends after the stay! Planned on staying 3 nights but ended up staying much longer.
Stayed in a 3 bed air conditioned dorm. Beds were soft and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Staff were great and friendly. Communal areas were relaxing and had a free pool table in bar/restaurant/reception area.
I'm beyond happy with my stay at Butterfly hostel. The hostel itself is gorgeous, with lots of nice outdoor areas to chill and enjoy nature. Chris and Nim are amazing and so are the rest of the staff there. The location is great too.
Where to begin — the best hostel in SE Asia. I've never come across such kind, caring and lovely staff. We were originally booked for 4 nights but had a moped accident and ended up extending for another 20 nights — we couldn't have been in a better place.
We had a fantastic experience at the Butterfly Hostel. All of the staff were professional and friendly. We had 3 cabins. Amazing value. They were surprisingly well appointed, with extremely comfortable beds. The aircon was very efficient.

The bungalows were fantastic! The vibe is very relaxed here with a bar area and pool table. They had a free dinner on Wednesday that gave us the chance to meet people and make new friends to see Pai with. Great place!

Hostel with great value for your money. Chris and Nim were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. It's about a 10min walk from the center of Pai. The other guests were quiet and calm, so it's definitely not a party hostel.
Really peaceful hostel just outside of town (15 min walk/5 min drive) which is owned by a lovely, friendly couple. Highly recommend if you are in the mood to chill out. The whole hostel is cleaned everyday and the dorm rooms only have 3 beds as well as a private bathroom.

Came to Pai, planning to only stay a couple of days. Ended up staying a week in a private room here, the hostel owners are fantastic and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your time in Pai.

Surely it's the best hostel in Pai. It's peaceful and a little out of town but always friendly and sociable. The dorms have only 3 beds and not bunk beds, very spacious and comfortable.

Best hostel in Thailand! We stumbled across this hostel on a bike ride on our first day in Pai and ended up spending every day there and even moved hostel to stay there.
Brilliant hostel run by brilliant people. It's a very chill, laid back hostel, with hammocks, a pool table, plenty of social areas so you will no doubt meet someone.

I was a little nervous because I didn't have a motorbike and it's not in the city center, but it's super easy to get around and absolutely gorgeous. Lots of relaxing days. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was always super helpful.

One of the best hostels I've been to! Sweet staff who want to help with everything. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and they made sure to decorate our room and pamper us. Friendly and fun hostel, far from the hustle and bustle of Pai but not too far. Recommended!!!
Super friendly staff. Private rooms are dirt cheap, especially considering what you get in return. Good air conditioning, nice soft beds, and the icing on the cake: a very good breakfast. No fewer than three kinds of egg dishes. They even offered to take me to the bus station.
